If future skills decide who thrives, why do they sit outside the school day?

Schools kept asking us that. We were founded in 2022 to answer it in the only place that reaches every child: the timetable.

Founded 2022 An Arvind Mafatlal Group company Inside the timetable, not after it

India has the world's largest learner base. Our work is to change what it is taught to do.

Three shifts define the work. Each one is a decision about where learning happens and what counts as proof of it.

Moving away fromMarks-led outcomes

Capability a student can show, build and defend

Moving away fromSkills sold outside the school day

A period on the timetable that reaches every child

Moving away fromNEP 2020 as policy language

Work students actually do, in class, this term

Four decisions that shape everything we build.

These are not values on a wall. Each one closed off options that would have been easier, cheaper or faster to sell.

The timetable is the only part of a child's week that reaches every child. Not the willing ones, not the funded ones. Every one. So that is where we build, even though after-school would have been simpler to run.

We train and certify the teacher already standing in the room, rather than sending an instructor who leaves when the contract ends. It is slower to start and it is the only version that survives us.

Every programme was made with its partner, for Indian classrooms, and it is ours to run. We did not buy a curriculum and translate it, and we do not resell someone else's product under our name.

A student should finish with something they built and can defend, assessed by someone outside the school. Certificates for turning up are the reason employers stopped trusting them.

How it has gone so far.

A national route, and a certification that carries weight.

In February we announced a partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation, with a shared goal of reaching a million students. IIT Roorkee co-developed the AI Quotient programme with us for Grades 6 to 12 and agreed to certify the work, and IIT Guwahati came in on the certified AI bootcamps.

  • NSDC: a government-backed distribution route, February 2025.
  • IIT Roorkee: AIQ co-developed and jointly certified.
  • IIT Guwahati: certified AI bootcamps, August 2025.
  • Two national awards, from EdTech Review and the Indian Education Awards.

Counted from schools already running it.

The world their children are growing into does not work the way theirs did.

Both saw success defined by right answers and predictable paths. Careers are fluid now, skills matter more than degrees, and the ability to think, adapt and build matters more than memorising content. Get Set Learn was created on that belief.

By embedding problem solving, critical thinking, creativity and entrepreneurship into everyday learning, the intent has not changed: students move past exams towards confidence, capability and lifelong learning.

We have been recognised.

The work is judged outside the classroom too. In 2025 the Skills for All programme was recognised for its community impact.

Innovation in CSR Practices

For innovative CSR-led contributions to education and community impact.

A long view, which this problem needs.

Get Set Learn is an Arvind Mafatlal Group company. That matters for one practical reason: curriculum reform takes years and a school career takes twelve, so the work needs backing that is not counting quarters. It is also why we sell into the timetable rather than to parents, even though the second is an easier sale.

PARENT GROUP

One of India's older industrial houses, with a long record in education and public institutions.

The group asks these questions in public too.

Legacy Leaders is the Arvind Mafatlal Group's conversation series with Viacom18, recorded as a podcast. Founders, policymakers and institution builders talk about the decisions behind long-lived institutions. Education sits at the centre of most of those conversations, which is the same reason Get Set Learn exists.

The series

Candid, long-form conversations with leaders who built things meant to outlast them. Recorded with Viacom18 and published as a podcast.

Why it sits here

The group has spent a century building institutions. A school programme is judged on the same horizon, not on a launch.
